Has anyone else noticed the unusually high amount of occurrences that Godwin's Law being invoked as of late? It would seem that everyone, everywhere, has been associated with the Nazi party at one point in time.

Matty

Apparently, George Bush's people have joined in by attempting to compare Democrats to Nazis. From what I can gather, the comparison is that they both "sound angry". Makes sense to me.

I wonder if Oliver will be consistently applying his condemnation of the absurd nazi-smearing of evidently non-nazi politicians to that too.

Are you suggesting that the Canadian Conservatives REALLY ARE Nazis?

Andrew Ian Dodge

Well someone suggested that on Damian Penny's blog, so no shock there.

Bruce

Matty, you are way off base here. The Hitler image was from MoveOn.org - a left-wing pro-Democrat organisation - that was comparing BUSH to Hitler. It was on Bush's campaign website to make the point that there are deranged leftists out there who frequently compare him to Hitler. Moreover, Kerry's website links to MoveOn.org. So let's keep this criticism focused on where it is coming from - the political left in America, Canada, and Europe.

Bruce, you don't understand...the left is mad at the right for daring to point that out! (Your point...) I mean how dare they actually stick to the facts.
