World Cup fever

At a dinner recently, I had the pleasure of meeting the Times writer and ITV football commentator Gabby Logan. I found her completely charming and extraordinarily polite, especially as she had realised that I was the only person in the room and one of the few people in the country to have no idea who she was and never to have heard of her.

This is a roundabout way of saying that if you want comment on the World Cup over the next few weeks, this blog is the last place you'll find it.
